Mom's Club Reflections!
Today, I went to Mom's club at ACC for the first time! We started talking about the joy in our life and how when everything seems 'joyful' and you are full of 'happiness' because everything is going RIGHT - what happens when that takes a turn? Is my joy that full? Is my foundation solid enough for what I have to deal with? Am I strong enough? If when I am shaken will I make it? I was moved and encouraged by the personal experiences and reflections that went on in that circle of women. Where do we get our strength from? We read from many verses in Psalms that talk about "God is our strength", "The Lord gives strength," "The name of the Lord is a strong tower," and many more. One young lady shared that she had just found out that her baby inside of her no longer has a heartbeat and she is scheduled for a d&c next week. She held herself very strong and she was relying on the Lord's strength to carry her and her family through this! What a testimony! I actually spoke up and relayed that I had been through the exact same thing not long ago and I can remember, at one point, questioning the Lord and being angry with Him for allowing such a horrible thing to happen to me. It took me a long time to personally do some 'soul-searching' and come to the realization that He has been so FAITHFUL to me and my family and he continues to be FAITHFUL even through the trials and tribulations in our lives. I actually had to come to a place in my heart where in a sense, I 'apologized' to the Lord and asked Him to forgive me because of my anger. Reflecting back, this has given me a renewed sense of 'joy' and 'happiness' in my heart & life and I can now share this with others (like today). Remember - When we are weak, HE gives us strength!!!!!!!! May the Lord give you all strength and joy in your heart today!

sounds like it went really great. what an awesome place God put you in...he knew that you and maybe only you would be the encouragement that that girl needed. God is so good, he knows us and understands us and loves us regardless.
What a testimony! God is a caring God, who cares about every detail of our life. You are being used by God to encourage others who are going through exactly what you have been through.
